Hey UHallers! It’s time for another year at UHall and another year on the blog. We’ve got a crazy new staff on hand (head over here to check us out!) who are planning some programs that are sure to be awesome.

A group of RAs and residents all went out today to see Martin Scorcese’s new film Shutter Island. We had a great turn out and the film was a really great psychological thriller with some nice neo noir touches. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re into that type of thing.
Without giving away too much (aside from what’s in the previews), the film deals with mental health. We are aware that we can all feel pretty stressed out sometimes. That said, just wanted to make you aware of all of …

Join FFIR Cyrus Patell and RA Shendi Xu for an outing to a lecture by acclaimed director WILLIAM KENTRIDGE tomorrow night, February 9th at 8 p.m. at Cooper Union’s Great Hall (7 E. 7th Street at Bowery).
We’ll meet in the UHall lobby at 7:30 p.m. and walk over.
Kentridge’s talk “A Universal Archive…with Some Remarks on Black Holes” will explore visual memory, the need for dis-remembering, studies in the speed of light, and other topics and themes at the edges of the artist’s work.

UHALL Council is partnering with New York Blood Services to sponsor a blood drive!
The blood drive will occur between 11:00AM and 5:00PM on 2/12/10 in the University Hall Commons Atrium. Free food will be available including valentines treats!
